OBC System
On Board Charger (OBC) is a device for electric vehicles to obtain AC power from home or public charging stations, and then charge the battery. Charging piles or on-vehicle energy conversion boxes can be called OBCs. Although the topology and architecture related to power conversion continue to be optimized and expanded, designers still need to pay attention to the possible failure risk protection brought about by the power conversion process.
OBC will use many 1206~2220 250V~1000V large-size MLCC NPO and X7R 100~2000V TYPE high-voltage MLCC products and high-power Chip-R, and Inductor,and designers need protection components to provide over-voltage protection, over-voltage Current protection, over temperature protection, can assist OBC temperature sensing and normal operation。
